He is the co-inventor of the Friedman-Rafsky Test, a key procedure in multivariate data analysis, earning him the Theory and Methods Award from the American Statistical Association. Larry has 13 U.S. patents primarily focused on real-time content analytics. His research papers have appeared in Econometrica, The Annals of Statistics, and Management Science. He is a summa cum laude graduate of Princeton (in statistics, his advisor was John Tukey). He earned his PhD in statistics from Yale. His three prior startups(FAME, GARI, and Acquire Media) led to 7- and 8-figure exits to Citicorp, Dow Jones and Moody’s.

After graduating from Harvard, Laura spent over 30 years in financial markets technology including nearly 20 years at Reuters in leadership positions managing software development. She also had global roles overseeing quality assurance practices and ITIL service management. After Reuters she ran marketing applications technology at DotDash Meredith (the country’s largest digital and print publisher) and then served as COO / CTO at Chaikin Analytics (acquired by Stansberry & Associates, a leading provider of investment research).
